St. George

We were so excited to all go down as a family to St. George while my parents were here visiting from Japan!  Tally and Abby weren't able to come down since it was too close to Abby's due date.  We missed them but still managed to have a little fun.

Our little family drove down Thursday night so we would have more time to play on Friday.  We stayed at my Dad's friend's house down there.  We have stayed there once before and Emma even remembered the color of the comforters on the bed in the room we stayed in.  They were pretty excited to be there!

The next morning we woke up and headed into town to go to the park and also go to the grocery store to pick up food and treats for the meals we were in charge of.

Miley loves to swing!  She throws the biggest fit when she has to get out.  It doesn't matter how long she has been in there.

Emma found a pen in the back of our car and decided that it would be fun to draw the alphabet all over herself.  She looked very beautiful.

After we were done we went back to the house, had lunch, and ice cream, and then did what everyone was the most excited for.  Swimming!

The rest of my family came Friday evening.  We had a good time talking and hanging out and then were off to bed.

Saturday we woke up and most people went out for a run while Spencer and I held down the fort with the girls.  We spent most of the morning swimming.  Emma and Miley were especially in heaven.  Katelyn it still a little nervous in the water and needed to have at least two forms of flotation around her at all times.

In the next two pictures, if you look closely, you can see what Miley spent the entire time in the swimming pool doing.  She would count to ten and then make you dunk her in the water.  Every time she came up for air her little tongue would be hanging out of her mouth.  It was pretty entertaining.

When we were done swimming, we had lunch and then got ready to go on a hike.  Emma was less than excited to be going on a hike and while we were doing it said "I feel like I have been walking for 100 steps!"

At the end of the hike there were lava caves and Katelyn thought they were the coolest things ever. She kept saying things like "you got this, Dad" while he was helping her climb through them.  She is quite the motivational speaker.

I am pretty sure this was the only time that Emma smiled through the whole thing.  It might have had something to do with the fact that Papa gave her a dollar for finishing the hike.

After we were done with the hike the older girls in the family got ready and went to watch the Women's Conference broadcast while the boys held down the fort with the little ones at home.  It was a great day!

Sunday we woke up and went to church.  In the afternoon my mom set up a little Easter egg hung for us in the back yard.  My girls, of course, loved it because they got candy and presents. I believe that Miley was taking a nap during the hunt so she isn't in any of the pictures.

Emma didn't really want to take this picture with us because Ki was really her hunting partner, not me.  She was a pretty good sport anyway.

This was more what she wanted!

The rest of the day was spent talking, playing games (mostly Ticket to Ride), eating, and just enjoying being with each other.

That night those who had work and school went home and the rest of us went to walk around the St. George temple.  Let's just pretend like all three of my girls don't look completely homeless in the next few pictures.

After the temple we had a snack and then the girls went to bed and my Mom, Kimberly, and I played more Ticket to Ride.

The next morning we woke up and went swimming.  Then we packed up and headed home in the afternoon.  The girls were exhausted on the way home so they all slept almost the whole way.  It was pretty nice!

Thanks again to  Mom and Dad for a fun trip!
