A Weekend with the Woolfs!

The Woolfs are some of our best friends ever!  They are one of the only reasons I wish I still lived in Denver (and the family members that we have there, too).  It had been over a year since we had seen them and I felt like that was way too long.  They just had a baby girl so I figured that that was as good of a reason as any to visit them, so that is what we did!  It was so fun to see them again, I just wish we could have stayed longer.  Darn work and school!

We spent the first night there just hanging out outside.  This post is going to have a little bit of a picture overload, Emily just got a new camera so there may or may not have been hundreds of pictures taken in a three day period.

Katelyn was a little unsure about the grass.  Since this picture she has decided that she does in fact hate the grass.  Good to know.

Emma and Bronsen were both pretty scared of the white car.  They would only sit in it as long as it wasn't moving.  We tried our best to get them to sit in it together and "go on a date" but they (and when I say they I mean Emma) would have none of it.

Katelyn and Stella already started their friendship lounging under this tent.  They got really good at hitting each other in the face.

After we were done playing we went inside and had story time up in Bronsen's bed.  We now have to read that "Piggies" book every night.  Thanks alot Kevin. ;)

The next morning we woke up and went to the zoo.  Not to be rude or anything, but the Denver Zoo is better than the Hogle Zoo.

Emma was having a little bit of a rough day so alot of the trip to the zoo may or may not have looked like this.

Katelyn is usually happy, no matter what we are doing, as long as she can grab her toes.

Side note: my husband is really cute.  Just saying.

Emma and Bronsen holding hands.  Too cute!

We also went to the library, out to eat (as well as Kevin and Emily making us delicious meals the whole time we were there), played lots of games and just enjoyed being with each other.  Emma and Bronsen played with some play doh one evening while we were getting dinner ready.  Such concentration!

Emma just needed to take a little juice break!

Emma took a bath with Bronsen and thought it was the coolest thing in the world that he had color tablets that made the water turn green!  Our baths just aren't as good anymore without green water.

We were sad to have to say good bye but glad that we got to spend some time with our friends!  Hopefully it won't be a year before we see them again.

On the way home we stopped at Todd's brother's house for a day to spend some time with them as well.  Emma was in heaven with all of their dolls and accessories and Katelyn really enjoyed being held 98% of the time we were there.  We love Paul, Melissa, and their girls and are glad we were able to see them.

After two full weekends of traveling Emma was pretty worn out and spent alot of the ride home sleeping.

It was fun to be on vacation but we are happy to be back into our normal routine as well.  Although, all of the girls in this family are going through Todd withdrawals.  Life is just more fun when he is around!
