The day before, we colored eggs with my mom. Emma didn't want to do it at first but then decided that it looked like fun and she had a good time. Katelyn just wanted to climb on the table.
The girls were happy to see that the Easter Bunny made it to our house. Even though neither of them really understood the concept of the Easter Egg hunt. Katelyn just wanted to sit and eat the candy as she found it and Emma didn't want anything to do with the plastic eggs until we showed her that there was candy inside of them. Then she would pick them up and empty the candy into her basket and throw the egg on the ground.
Emma was excited to see that the new Easter dresses that she picked out made it to our house. We did our best to get a good picture of the girls together, but you know how that always goes. Trust me though, they looked really cute and were very happy all day, even though the pictures don't really show that.
Later in the afternoon we went over to my parents' house for brunch and to hang out with Spencer before he had to go back to Tokyo. Emma got some new princess dolls from my parents that she just really loves. Grandparents always give the best gifts!
After that we ran up to Todd's parents' house to spend time with his family as well. Each grandchild had three eggs with their names on them that they were supposed to find. Emma and Katelyn were lucky to have lots of people willing to help them find theirs!
I love the Easter season and the chance that we get to think about the Savior and all He has done for us. We had a great day spending time with our family!

I can't decide what is cuter, the blue rug or the girls in their Easter dresses...probably the girls. My girls are looking at this with me and they think Emma and Katelyn are them...apparently they don't look in the mirror too often. The dresses are from Gap, huh? Totally almost got them. You're looking great! Are you tan?! What is going on?
