Labor Day and Midway

We love to spend time in the mountains as it starts to cool off and the leaves start to change colors. For Labor Day this year we spent time up at our cabin with my family. We went up Sunday night for dinner and s'mores around the fire. The next morning, Todd got up and went on a 23 mile run with Kyle to prepare for the St. George marathon and the rest of us had breakfast and played games.

Camden decided that he loves corn

When Todd came back from running we headed up to Silver Lake for a short, easy hike. The girls claimed that they didn't want to go but were pretty thrilled once we were there. It may or may not have had something to do with the sucker my mom gave them when we got there.

Camden spent much of the hike looking like this. He was happy to be held/snuggled for that long
After we were done hiking and hanging out at the cabin we headed home to go swimming and have a BBQ with Carrie, Brent and their families. It was a fun Labor Day!

September 16-17th we headed up to stay at my Grandparents' cabin in Midway with my family. It was a good chance to relax and enjoy the beginnings of fall up in the mountains! It was so beautiful up there.

Friday night we all got settled in, had dinner and then after the kids went to bed we started working on a puzzle. The next morning Todd and I went for a run since we had people around who were willing to watch our kids. After we got back and were all ready for the day we went out for a surrey ride. It is always a huge hit with the kids. (Camden slept for about 4 hours for his morning nap to make up for not sleeping at all the night before.)

I love this picture of these cute little buddies

Todd saw a rope swing while we were out on our ride so he made the girls try it. They were a little nervous at first but decided that it actually was fun!

When we were back from the surrey ride we did more bike riding and just enjoyed being outside.

We headed to Timp Freeze for lunch and we literally waited 45 minutes for a bunch of hamburgers and french fries. It was a little bit of a joke but I mostly felt bad for the 2 teenage employees that were there and had to deal with a whole bunch of people that were grumpy about having to wait for their food.

BYU was playing that night and alot of my family was going to the game so we had to get a picture of us all in our BYU gear. My kids are the only ones with out BYU attire. Maybe if they sold BYU dresses we could convince them to wear it.

My Dad was in Japan this weekend so we missed him!

After lunch some people went for a hike and the rest of us headed back to the house to play some more. Katelyn won the prize for the best outfit of the trip.

We successfully finished the puzzle right before my little family was ready to head home. I just really love doing puzzles!

One last picture of all of the babies in their team gear (minus Camden). It is so fun to have so many babies in my family now!

We love being able to spend so much time with my family since my parents have been home from Japan. We also love being outside in the Fall so these two outings were the best of both worlds!
