Easter!

Easter was so fun this year.  The older the girls get and the more they understand holidays the better time we all have!

The day before Easter we took the girls to the city park for an Easter egg hunt.  It was pretty crazy!  We knew it would be busy so we got there a few minutes early. The hunt was divided into age groups, we put both Emma and Katelyn in the 3-4 age group because I didn't want to split them up.  The hunt started at 10:00 and we were back in our car (which we had to walk a ways to) by 10:10!

Katelyn tried to unwrap and eat the candy as she picked it up so she only got 3 pieces of candy, THREE! She was happy with it though so that is all that matters.  Emma got a little more but not much more because she was nervous to go too far away from me.  Overall they had a good time though and that is all that matters, even if it only lasted 45 seconds!

The next day was Easter!  Emma and Katelyn came running into our room in the morning and were so excited to tell us that the Easter Bunny had come to our house!  They enjoyed their second Easter egg hunt.  Emma was thrilled to see the new clothes that were left for her.  She is pretty easy to please!

Later that morning Tally, Abby, Kimberly, and Jace came over for breakfast.  It was fun to spend time with my family.  They all came to Sacrament meeting with us as well.  Anytime we have extra hands at church is a good time!

We took a few family pictures before we headed off to church which went about as good as you would expect it to!  As I have mentioned before, Miley really hates the grass. I love them anyway.

After church we headed down to have dinner with Todd's family.  It was fun to be with everyone.  We had another egg hung for the little kids and they seemed to be happy with it!

We love celebrating Easter and the Resurrection of our Savior.  It was fun to be able to talk about that a little more with the girls this year and watch as the processed the story a little more each time.  I am grateful for the sacrifice that was made for me that I may live with my family forever!
