San Diego Part 2

Wednesday was another great day.  The Marshes split up and went to Legoland and Disneyland but we opted to swim at the beach house and go to the beach in the afternoon.

Todd thought it would be fun to jump from the hot tub to the pool with the girls.  I will let you decide how they reacted to that.  In his defense, Emma did it by herself the night before so we didn't think she would hate it as much.  It turns out the only reason she did it the night before was because Uncle Tally promised that he would get her a new movie if she did it.  It wasn't as fun if there wasn't a reward after I guess.

Todd bought this raft for the trip and I made fun of him because it was so little but it turns out the girls really loved it!

 That afternoon at the beach was not the biggest success.  My girls thought that the sand was too hot and everyone got a little too much sun swimming at the pool.  It was a good thing we had our umbrella there, everyone was trying to cram underneath it.  Todd bought us ice cream though so that made it all better!

That evening, we headed over to Old Town San Diego and visited the Mormon Battalion visitors center.

On Thursday we went to the San Diego Zoo.  I thought that it was great! Emma said that she loved seeing all of the animals but she didn't love walking around all day.  Katelyn loved the elephants and turtles.  Miley was a trooper.  It is getting hard to take her places.  She always wants to be on the move but has zero interest in walking.  I don't love to let her crawl around in public places because I think that is gross, and she is ruining all of her pants.  Hopefully she decides that walking is a good thing soon!

Friday we split up and my parents went with Spencer to the visit the USS Midway and the rest of us went to the beach again. 

That night Todd was the best and stayed home with our overly tired girls (and did all of the laundry!) while the rest of us went to a Padres baseball game.  I got to hang out with Spencer and he is one of the coolest!

Saturday morning (our 7th wedding anniversary!) we had to get up and pack to go home.  We were out of the beach house by 6:30 and on the road.  We stopped at McDonalds for breakfast.  My girls don't love breakfast from there so we went and got them some donuts instead.  Katelyn just likes to eat the top frosting part off.

The girls did great again on the ride home.  That was a long 12 hours for me though!  I was happy to get out of the car when we got home.  We were sad for the vacation to be over but we had a great time!  Thanks Mom and Dad for such a great trip!
