I flew out with Camden early Thursday morning. He did really well on the flight and slept almost the whole time. When we first got on the plane he was pretty upset and everyone was giving me the look like they were really unhappy we were on their flight but he fell asleep before we took off and slept until 20 minutes before landing.
Friday was a pretty rainy day but we still got out to do some sight-seeing. We went to the Stockyards and did some souvenir shopping and saw the cattle run. It was pretty cool.
| Sadly Todd wouldn't let me buy this hat. |
After the stockyards, we grabbed a quick lunch and then we went to Melt, a yummy local ice cream shop. Then we headed home so we could pick Bronsen up from school. We also went for a ride on Emily's fun Madsen bike.
That night, Kevin and Emily got a baby sitter for their kids and we went out to get some yummy barbecue. We wanted to get a picture of us there but didn't feel like asking anyone (anti-social) so I pulled out my selfie stick. Most people in the restaurant were making fun of us but I just think my selfie stick is the greatest. We even snapped a picture with the musician that was playing for us.
Saturday started off with delicious donuts, which always makes for a great day. After we were all ready we headed into Dallas, about 45 minutes from Ft. Worth. We stopped at a fun park where they had all types of activities that you could do for free. We chose to play croquet and I came in second which is really saying something for me. It helped that Todd was holding Camden for most of the game so he had to play one handed.
We had lunch at Tochy's Tacos, drove passed the Denver temple and the stadium where the Mavericks play (which happened to be right when a game was getting out so maybe wasn't the best idea) and went to see the JFK memorial and street where he was assassinated. Poor Camden had a rough day this day because we were in the car alot and we all know how he hates that.

Kevin was so nice and made us his delicious cinnamon rolls Sunday morning and then we hung out around the house until we went to church. We spent the rest of the day talking, eating, and laughing.
We were sad to have to come home early Monday morning but we were excited to see our girls. Kevin and Emily were such great hosts, as usual, and treated us to good food and an even better time. We spent alot of time playing games, trying to come up with an idea to start our own business, and staying up way later than we should.
Thanks to the Woolfs for letting us visit and thanks to my mom and Maddy for watching the girls for us while we were away!
