We had a really fun 4th of July this year. Since it was on a Monday, we were excited to have a long weekend with Todd.
We spent some time at the pool on Friday. It took a while but Camden finally decided that he enjoys swimming. We also couldn't get enough of Miley in her goggles.
Friday night one of our neighbors put on an awesome firework show. They block the street off and have about a 40 minute firework show with music and everything. They do this every year, but we must always be gone when they do because this is our first time in 4 years of living here that we have gone. It was so fun though, the girls loved being with all of their friends all night!
We went to Zupas for dinner on Saturday and also to Hokulia for some shaved ice after for dessert.
We had to squeeze in a Sunday morning picture even though some people weren't very excited about it!
Monday morning Todd went boating early with his brothers and then went golfing with my Dad and brothers. He had a busy day!
The girls and I had a delicious breakfast of German pancakes, their current favorite, and then got ready to head up to Midway for the Nelson family party.
I tried really hard to get a picture of all the kids before we got up there but Camden got really scared when everyone started saying cheese around him.
The girls were really excited to ride on the surrey, hang out in the hammock, play in the playhouse, jump on the trampoline and just run around all day long. There is nothing quite like Midway!
We did some fun crafts before the games and dinner started. Emma and Katelyn really love to do anything craft related.
After crafts we had our bike parade! The girls all loved decorating their bikes and riding with everyone!
Then it was time for some games. Emma told us that she didn't want any of us to do them with her so we only have pictures of her participating in them. She had a good time.
Then we had dinner and just enjoyed being with each other!
We celebrated the July birthdays and anniversaries. #9 for us!
After dinner and dessert, we packed up and headed down to watch the Sandy City fireworks by our house.
It was such a great holiday weekend! We were all tired and took a few days to recover from all of the fun but we loved every second of it!
