Katelyn's Birthday Celebrations

Katelyn's birthday was a fun, and busy day!  She woke up to balloons in her room, like usual, and loved them!  Emma was so excited about the balloons that she insisted that we wake her up to help us blow them up.  She was so cute being so excited for her sister.  Emma and Katelyn also decided to both sleep in Katelyn's bed so they could be together when Katelyn woke up to the balloons!

She really wanted to line all of the balloons up but gave up quickly when they wouldn't stay where she put them.

After playing with the balloons for a while we had her breakfast of choice, cereal. After, Emma was too excited to wait until that night for Katelyn to open her present so she had to give it to her right then! Emma picked out a set of 10 cars (?) and a purple pony for her sister.  Katelyn was actually pretty happy about the gift and they spent alot of time playing with them during the morning.

Katelyn decided that she wanted to go to the Curiosity Museum at Thanksgiving Point for her activity.  It was really crowded but the girls had a great time anyway! We always spend most of our time there in the big block room and this time was no different!

This is Emma's favorite thing there. You are supposed to see how long you can hang like that.  Most of the other kids that were doing it could only hang for 20-30 seconds and she hung for 79!  She was so proud of herself.

We then let Katelyn choose where she wanted to go for lunch and she of course chose McDonald's for a cheeseburger and to play on the playground there!  She is pretty easy to please.

After lunch we came home and the Woolf's called us to sing Happy Birthday to Katelyn.  She really loved it.  As soon as we were done talking to them, my parents called to sing to Katelyn and watch her open her presents from them.  She loved having them sing to her and loved all of her new presents.  This is when Emma started to have a little bit of a hard time with the day being all about Katelyn.  Luckily, her birthday is coming up soon so she can have the same.

 Then we were lucky and Todd got to come home from work early!  We went to the park when he got home and had a great time.  After the park his parents called on FaceTime to sing happy birthday as well.  We are so thankful for the technology that allows us to stay connected with those that live far away!  We had pizza for dinner and Tally and Kimberly came over to have cake and ice cream and watch her open the rest of her presents.  Kimberly saved the day by bringing suckers for Emma and Miley as well. That helped Emma cheer up a little bit.
